Field Work | Vincent Casey

Roads and vistas around Central Victoria and the west of Ireland. Stone, clay, bog, bush. Burren wildflowers in May, late winter wattle, mountain heather disappearing into the fog. Rushes, briars, thistle, furze. The wren, the wren, king of all birds. Pink and blue raddled sheep, white from rain, black from dust. Moolort Plains badlands. Mullagh badlands. Rain-drenched potholes and dry riverbeds. Ruins and shacks of stone and wood and tin. Limestone crags, granite boulders. Megalithic, monolithic. Harsh and soft.
